What is School Savvy NQ? 

School Savvy NQ is an annual back to school resources initiative aimed at children and families to afford back-to-school needs as well as a one-stop shop for families wanting to purchase preloved.

Pre-loved uniforms and basic stationery supplies are made available to purchase at a pop up store located within the region. These items are provided at very little cost, with prices generally ranging between one to five dollars. All funds raised go back into the program to purchase more school supplies that are needed. Pop up shops will be open to families January 2025 in Townsville and North West Queensland.

Some of the things you can do to support School Savvy NQ

	First of all, we would LOVE for you to like and share our Facebook updates! The more community members that share information about School Savvy the more families we can reach. Follow us here!
	Donate pre-loved uniforms You can get involved by donating pre-loved or unwanted local school uniforms and school supplies that are in good condition to any one of several donation locations including Centacare NQ from November 2024 - Early January 2025. More donation locations will be listed below.
	Donating Money All $ donations will go towards the purchase of new supplies or uniforms for those most in need. As we rely on uniform donations sometimes our most sought after school uniforms are limited in stock or sizes. Donations over $2 are tax deductible and can be made through our online fundraiser  For cash or business donations please make a donation pledge at the bottom of this page or email schoolsavvy@centacarenq.org.au to request an information pack on becoming an official School Savvy NQ partner
	Volunteering with School Savvy We are always looking for volunteers at Centacare NQ. Working with the School Savvy NQ team allows you to volunteer your time for a great community cause and also gain some experience working in a retail environment. 	Business Partnership & Sponsorship  Would you like to support or sponsor School Savvy NQ as a business? There a many ways to get involved. Can you host a collection bin at your workplace? Donate services or items suitable for back-to-school such as haircuts, fruit, lunch boxes, sock, school shoes or even school bags? Could you promote a School Savvy collection day or host a morning tea collection at your workplace? 	Collect cans throughout the year  Turn your empties into school supplies for local kids, by using our code at a Containers for Change site near you. Scheme ID: C10285779
